An Egyptian Pyramidal Scorpion Seal, Late Period, ca. 664 - 332 BCE

In the shape of a pyramid, the base carved with a scorpion in low relief, two parallel lines incised around the base of two sides, pierced along one edge for attachment.

Dimensions: Height: 2.5 cm (1 inch)

Condition: With minor losses to the surface, intact and in good condition overall.

Provenance: RDA private collection, acquired from the NY trade as part of a collection assembled in the 1970's and 1980's.
