A large Egyptian Steatite Scaraboid Bead, Middle Kingdom, Dynasty 11- 12, ca. 2040 - 1786 BCE

the elongated form with an inscribed base, a horse to the left. Pierced longitudinally for suspension and set as a pendant.

Dimensions: Length: 3.5 cm (1.37 inches). Set with a 20-inch reduced tarnish silver chain.

Condition: Intact and in good condition overall. 

Provenance: Ex Peter Negus Collection acquired in the 1960s.
